Hi everyone! My name is Rebecca Carter, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. As early as fourth grade, I realized my love for helping others. I wanted to become a counselor after realizing the impact a counselor had on my life in helping me begin to heal and become stronger through a difficult time in my life. I received my undergraduate degrees in Georgia, focusing on Psychology and Criminal Justice. Learning about the criminal justice system, for me, highlighted the need for culturally and socially aware individuals in all careers, especially therapy.  My counseling methods are centered around an Adlerian approach, which focuses on reframing how we view different situations and experiences through a collaborative relationship between the client and clinician. I am supervised by Dr. Lisa Grubbs, PhD, LPC-S, CSC, GC-C, NCC.

When I am not working, I enjoy reading and doing different craft projects around the house. I love spending time with friends and family, whether that be a game night at the house or trying new restaurants and activities around the metroplex. With four cats and two bunnies, animals currently outnumber humans in my house.
